Basic English Smocking Fee:$65.00

The first week you will learn the basic stitches, practice and learn the proper techniques to smock an insert. The second week you will learn to read and follow a graph, prepare a bishop to smock and start your project. The third week you will learn the embroidery stitches that compliment your smocking.

   Smocking with Stack Cables

The first week you learn basic stacked cables with simple one color designs. The second week we will work on multiple needles and changing colors. Bring your insert and #5 Darner needles                                    ( Stacked cables being mastered!!)

You pick the outfit you want to adorn with an appliqué you have selected before you come to class and we spend a leisurely time learning the basics of appliqué stitching.

Seminar Class

Watch and learn how to cut out different fabrics (all those checks and plaids!) for a bishop. Learn how to pleat  Bishops, plaids and checked bishops. See how to prepare a bishop so you need not use a continuous placket. Learn how to eliminate turtle neck bishops and construct perfect necks!! This is a notebook class, Bring a notebook to take notes.

Bishop Construction Class (hands on)

(1 session)

Fee: $25.00

You will bring a smocked bishop to class and actually construct it step by step. Techniques covered will be; French seams, French bias , and piping.
