What's New?
Because of the limited weekends I have to teach this year, you will find classes back to back ocassionally! We are calling them Retreat Weekends! Some classes that are labor intensive! ,so they are 3 days long. Others are 2 days long. Many requested more than 2 days classes, I hope This will be good! So excited to see each of you this up coming season!! Classes are listed for January - August!!!

 Because our classes are small in size, I am able to help you constantly! My object is to have you feel
like a super woman, have tadah momments and finish your project (or nearly!). I will even cheer you on!
I even help rip!! LOL! Can't wait to sew with you!

You can take any of our classes with any make of sewing machine, as long as you know how to use it.

We have sewing experience on many different makes and models

. Some machines have special features that make some task easier than others.

 There are many ways and techniques and if you have a machine that you like and it zig zags!, you will do just fine

Deposit of $50 holds your chair , and is applied to your registration fee. Check your schedules well before registering for any class, all classes are small and many have waiting lists. There are no refunds for cancellations. Arrangements for teachers, food, and supplies are done weeks and months in advance to inssure availabilty.

All classes packed with information and tons of techniques that will improve your skills for equiste garments!

4 day Class!
 Class instructor to hold your hand throught this Magnificent heirloom dress. Everyone should be finished by the end of 4th class!
sewing level Intermediate to advanced
Learn how to make adaptations to an pattern to use to make a beautiful Heirloom Dress. In this class you will also learn how to use our beautiful English Laces! 		Class fee: $200.00

Kit fee: $700  will depend on the size of dress making

This dress is a timeless treasure to be handed down for generations!
We will cover all construction in this class, there will be some finishing at home once the class is over, but nothing we haven't already done in class.

After you register for this class, we will contact you by e-mail to get your colors and size for your kits. We will also send you a check off list for supplies you may already have at home and you can bring them. All kits are mde with swiss batiste,  fine french laces,entredeux.

"The Classic Smocked Bodice Dress Class"

Class covers: blocking, adding front pleat, Perfect bias trim,construction perfect back bias placements so collar meets center back, piping,interfacing, back belting, button holes, and full sizing and understanding the pattern.

You will get to pick your fabric choice at the store before you start!

I will cover over 24 different techniques of heirloom sewing. Each technique will be practiced and put in your notebook along with applications , tensions, feet used and why 1 technique is used over another.  Time is spent on how to plan the garments and where to begin your heirloom projects! 
Tucks, roll and whip, entredeux, puffing, french lace , netted laces, sewing on nets, mitering are just a few of techniques covered!
Buy the end of the second day you will have learned a mutitude of techniques AND completed a note book with all the samples and settings to use over and over again!

  English Smocking 101and 102
(beginners and review)

Feb. 23-25

Bishop Project for this class! Class covers geometric and the stacked cables on a sweet white, pink micro check, blue check text bishop .

       

Learn the art of English Smocking.Class includes stitches, preparation, blocking, centering, reading a graph, execution of stitch spacing and the embroidery stitches related to your smocking design. This class is great for beginners and those who smocked years ago and need updated information and techniques. New added a day of Stacked Cables! Once you update your basic skills we will swtich over to Stacking stitches to make pictures!

 After you register for this class, we will contact you by e-mail to get your colors and size for your kits. We will also send you a check off list for supplies you may already have at home and you can bring them. All kits are made with Imperial Broadcloth

Begginner and review and design improvements!
3 Day Bishop Retreat !
 

This class you will:
Learn and do! How to cut a bishop out even on checks, dots &plaids, sew french seams that will go through your pleater, Block a bishop to smock for the perfect neck, constuct the dress making beautiful bias neck line , and sew petite piping with bias bound sleeves !
All of this done right in class with a wonderful group. Wonderful tips and tricks to finish that dress to perfection.
